Olivier Massart

Advisory board member and a senior Advisor to Pandan

Olivier Massart brings over 30 years of leadership experience in financial inclusion and Sustainable finance, leading and managing large programmes with financial institutions, Agro-industries and MSMEs globally. Olivier has vast experience of building and managing multi-facet financial sector, government, and civil society projects in over 40 countries with significant work in Asia Pacific.


Olivier served as Executive Director for ADA Microfinance, serving Africa, Latin America and Asia, from 2015 to 2018 where he led the organization strategically to increased activities with MFIs and MSME and being responsible also for the Luxembourg Microfinance and Development Fund (LMDF) investment team. Prior to this, he headed the East and West Africa activities for Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance, managing and restructuring institutions and supporting microfinance activities throughout the region. Furthermore, Olivier has restructured and provided strategic direction to numerous microfinance institutions, working for Horus Banque and Finance.


Working with international agencies, he held senior positions in projects implemented by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), USDAID, EBRD and others.

Mr. Massart holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham in the UK, and an Agricultural Engineering degree from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium.
